Fire Risk Assessment

Safety First Group Stand: 3/F56

The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) requires employers to keep workers safe from the risks of fire, explosions and substances corrosive to metals.

Safety First offers fire risk assessments and DSEAR risk assessments that will highlight any risks to ensure your business is compliant with regulations.

The importance of fire risk assessments

Accidental fires or explosions can be devastating, in terms of injuries and damage to property, the environment and the business. They can be caused by dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres, such as chemicals, petrol and flammable liquids.

To comply with HSE regulations, employers must conduct and regularly review fire risk assessments of the premises. As part of the assessment, employers are required to identify fire hazards and the people at risk; evaluate, eliminate or mitigate the risks; record findings, produce an emergency plan and providing training; and review or update the fire risk assessment on a regular basis.

Safety First’s fire risk assessments

Our professional risk assessors are qualified to conduct fire risk assessments to ensure that your business meets current standards and regulations. Our reports provide everything you need to establish the right control and mitigation measures.
