ExDetector HC 100 T+K – especially for duct installation. Suitable for high temperatures.
The sensor
combination ExDetector HC 100-T (sensor electronics) and HC
100-K (sensor module) has been specially developed for machine and
duct installation. The ExDetector HC 100 K has a gas measuring
head that is separate from the sensor module and can be mounted on duct shafts
using a mounting flange to detect hazardous gas concentrations inside.
This special
combination is also used to measure the current concentration of explosive
gases and vapours in a pipe network.
A particularly unique
feature of this combination: the remote sensor in the measuring head of
the HC 100 K sensor module, our “duct sensor”, can be used in
an environment up to max. 80 degrees Celsius inside the duct, while the more
temperature-sensitive components (up to 55 degrees Celsius) perform their
duties outside these critical temperatures. A unique and type-tested solution
for problematic temperatures and atmospheres.
Functionality of
the ExDetector HC 100 within a gas warning system:
The ExDetector HC100
series sensors in combination with evaluation systems have the following
functions:
- Measurement and display of the current
concentration of explosive gases and vapours
- Monitoring or warning of these gases
- Triggering of protective measures:
– Technical: The increase in concentration is counteracted (fans; shutdowns….)
– Organizational: Visual and acoustic messages - A gas warning system consists of the
following components:
– Sensor
– Evaluation system
– Controllable devices such as fans, warning signs and solenoid valves
