The HEAD RPE/CSRE set was developed specifically to meet the requirements of the HMP. They required set that had a minimum duration of 15 minutes, be easily and rapidly deployed with minimal training requirments and offer lightweight, full face protection with 180 degree field of vision. The HEAD RPE/CSRE meets all these requirements. It has a duration of 15 minutes, is lightweight, quick and easy to don and as it is head mounted, the wearer is not constrained with a cylinder or bag across their body as they may be with conventional compressed air breathing apparatus. It's design, using a latex neck seal and moulded oronasal mask to achieve an excellent face seal, negates the need for a fit test to be done.
