Participants can track their development and progression with CPD points, collected in a portfolio that can be used as a personal development plan.
Training with Pilz UK offers delegates the oppertunity to gain CPD points when participating in the following courses:
Safety Design Incorporating EN ISO 13849 and EN 62061: 7 hours of CPD
The Basis of CE Marking: 7 hours of CPD
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) & Risk Assessment Workshop: 14 hours of CPD
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER): 7 hours of CPD
4 Day City & Guilds Machinery Safety Course: 28 hours of CPD
Certified Machinery Safety Expert: 27 hours of CPD
Fundamentals of Machinery Safety: 14 hours of CPD
PNOZmulti Basic Training Course: 7 hours of CPD
Safe Human-Robot Collaboration: 7 hours of CPD
To achieve the CPD accreditation Pilz Automation has undergone a rigorous assessment process that focuses on the development and delivery of our training including our educational authority, how we collect and utilise delegate feedback and ensure the content is kept up to date.

Pilz is launching the PITmode fusion, a modular operating mode selection and access permission system. Being modular, the system offers machine builders and system integrators greater flexibility when implementing safety and security on equipment and processes.
The new PITmode fusion consists of the PITreader reader unit with RFID technology and integrated web server, and an SEU (Safe Evaluation Unit). Its modular design enables the PITmode fusion to be integrated individually into the design of existing control consoles. Existing pushbuttons can be used, enabling better operation for the user. PITmode devices are used on plant and machinery in which users switch between different control sequences and operating modes.
Authorised users have a coded RFID transponder key that provides them with the necessary access rights for performing the tasks that are required of them. Up to five safe operating modes can be defined, such as automatic mode, manual intervention under restricted conditions, or service mode. The key is inserted into the control console, the SEU detects the specified operating mode, and the PITreader ensures functionally safe switching. Accidents, misuse and manipulation are therefore prevented. Users benefit from higher availability of their machines.

New to the Pilz safe sensor technology portfolio is the world's first safe complete radar solution for protection zone monitoring. It comprises the safe radar system "LBK System" from Inxpect S.p.A. and the configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2. As radar technology is fundamentally insensitive to external influences such as dust, rain, light, sparks or even shock, the solution provides safe, economical monitoring even in the most rugged environments where optoelectronic sensors and technologies cannot guarantee availability.
Comprising up to six radar sensors - depending on the application - and one control unit, with the PNOZmulti 2 compact configurable safe controller responsible for safety in the system, the solution can be used up to SIL 2, PL d, Category 2.
Each sensor protection zone is flexible and varies depending on installation height and sensor inclination. It can be set up as wide - 110°/30° – or narrow - 50°/15° - with maximum depth of 4 m. The layout of the total protection zone and system is also flexible and can be configured up to a maximum 15 x 4 m using 6 sensors in series to create a linear barrier.
