The Ladder Association‘s latest surveillance report highlights a concerning trend of selling unsafe ladders to unsuspecting British consumers online. The Association’s ongoing safety campaign, ‘Step Up to Safe Ladders,’ has highlighted the dangers of poor-quality telescopic and multipurpose ladders. Despite alarming failure rates, the government has yet to take action. The Association calls for urgent regulatory changes to hold suppliers and online platforms accountable for consumer safety. We commend the Office for Product Safety and Standards’s recent launch of the Product Safety Review and support the Ladder Association’s efforts to contribute evidence towards addressing this pressing issue. Stay safe and informed when purchasing ladders.
