Heart Month
❤ February is Heart Month ❤
Workplaces should ensure they are prepared for cardiac emergencies by providing staff with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and arranging CPR training. This is important because:
❤ The chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest increases significantly if an AED is used within the first few minutes.
❤ For every minute that someone doesn’t receive CPR and defibrillation, their chances decrease by 10%!
❤ 5% of out of hospital cardiac arrests happen at work.
