An Unprecedented Celebration of Community, Innovation, and Excellence in Health & Safety

An Unprecedented Celebration of Community, Innovation, and Excellence in Health & Safety

Birmingham, UK - The Health & Safety Event (HSE) 2025, held from 8-10 April at the NEC Birmingham, concluded with record-breaking numbers, strengthening its position as the UK’s premier health and safety event. A key element of the Safety & Security Series, HSE 2025 brought together 13,275 visitors and 377 exhibitors, providing unrivalled opportunities for learning, collaboration, and innovation. This year, the event experienced growth in international visitors and exhibitors, highlighting the show's ability to continue to draw a wider and more diverse audience in the future.

Covering a remarkable 9,324 SQM and marking a 12% rise in attendee numbers across the series, the show floor buzzed with energy as industry leaders, health and safety innovators, and community entrepreneurs united to address today’s most pressing health and safety challenges and hazards. From live panels to immersive workshops, the event cultivated a unique environment for collaboration and innovation.

David Bishop, Event Director, commented:
“I wanted to thank all exhibitors and partners who contributed so much to a fantastic looking event with wonderfully creative stands and content that added so much to the experience and quality of the show.”

This year’s content programme reached new heights, with The Keynote Theatre, audiences filled every available space, with many left standing due to the overwhelming turnout. A particular highlight was the panel session ‘In conversation with IOSH and the HSE’, led by Sarah Newton (Health & Safety Executive), featuring Kelly Nicoll (IOSH), and Julianne Shine (IOSH Future Leaders Community Steering Group). This session discussed how OSH professionals can make a difference in helping IOSH and the HSE work towards a safer and healthier world of work.

The HSE exhibition floor was the beating heart of the event, showcasing the latest advances in health & safety from industry-leading suppliers such as U-Power, Milwaukee, and Dräger. Visitors explored a broad range of innovative products and services tailored to modern demand, such as:

  • Emergency & First Aid Equipment
  • Environmental & Waste Management
  • Equipment & PPE Innovations
  • Occupational Health & Well being
  • Driver Safety
  • Lone Worker Protection
  • AI and Technology

Across the show floor, specialist zones curated by leading organisations gave visitors direct access to compliance tools, innovative health and safety technologies, and collaborative initiatives shaping the future of the industry.

The Health & Safety Event was proud to partner with the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) once again, to bring the Registered Safety Supplier Trail. With concerns growing around non-compliant PPE, the trail helped visitors easily identify trusted suppliers. All featured companies are BSIF members, committed to providing products that meet required standards, comply with regulations, and are properly certified, giving buyers confidence that their PPE is safe and reliable.

The Health & Safety Event 2025 offered even more opportunities to connect, with Women in Industry hosting a special networking drinks reception on day one. Attendees were able to unwind, share experiences, and build new relationships after a packed day of seminars and exhibitions. Complimentary drinks across the first two days helped spark valuable conversations, creating a welcoming space for the health and safety community to exchange ideas and strengthen industry connections.

HSE 2025 was co-located with four major events: The Security Event, The Fire Safety Event, National Cyber Security Show, and The Workplace Event, creating one of the UK’s largest cross-sector gatherings focused on safety, security, and workplace transformation.

The Health & Safety Event will return to the NEC Birmingham from 28-30 April 2026.
