Bill Fox
Bill Fox is a leading specialist in the prevention and management of workplace conflict and violence. Over 30 years he has helped organisations assess and reduce risks to staff and the people they serve.
Bill and his team now operate worldwide, helping organisations across all sectors with their risk reduction strategies, including training to develop staff confidence and capabilities in preventing and managing conflict and behaviours of concern.
Key to his work is looking behind behaviour and understanding what it is communicating and motivated by, as only then can we effectively address it’s causes and triggers. At this IOSH event Bill will explore the impact of psychological trauma on colleagues and the people they support and interact with in their duties.
Psychological trauma may lay behind some of the behaviour’s employees face, including risk taking, aggression and violence. It is vital that those delivering services recognise this and learn how to interact in trauma and shame sensitive ways.
