David England
David spent 25 years in operational management before passing the prestigious NEBOSH diploma and moving into occupational health and safety. In the years since, he has been fortunate to have worked in a variety of industry sectors, including military and civil infrastructure. With Dr Andy Painting, he has authored a number of books on construction safety, the assessment of risk, and the future of health and safety.
David works as an independent consultant in safety and risk management and compliance and also as a subject matter expert for NEBOSH, where he helps to develop and author the diploma and construction papers. His wealth of knowledge of operational management has helped him to develop pragmatic and practical solutions to safety issues which recognize the need for businesses to function efficiently in addition to maintaining a successful safety culture.
He is a Fellow of both the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and the Institute of Construction Management.
