Duncan is a recognised thought leader in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. He is presently the Head of Advice & Practice for the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health, and a Chartered Fellow.
Duncan is an expert in applying a risk-led and evidence-driven approach to safety. His expertise was developed through working in many different industrial sectors and government/public organisations in the UK and other countries. This includes agriculture, construction, retail, distribution, health care, charities, uniformed public services and manufacturing. Amongst his appointments he led the safety function at the John Lewis Partnership for 10 years.
Duncan’s IOSH role includes leading IOSH’s research function and it’s thought leadership and guidance creation team.
