Richard Cowen
Richard is an experienced independent Health, Safety and Sustainability Consultant combining extensive knowledge with experience in supporting organisations across aerospace, construction, manufacturing, government, food and utility sectors.
Richard has an electrical and mechanical engineering background in the services industry and served in the fire and rescue service for many years.
His specialist areas include strategic HSE management, sustainability, confined space management, hazardous chemicals and oils, DSEAR and PUWER assessments, fire‑engineering solutions, CDM and contractor control, occupational noise, maintenance risk assessment, electrical controls, auditing, sustainability systems and cultural or behavioural change programmes.
Richard also has extensive experience delivering accredited training, including NEBOSH, IOSH, NCFE and City & Guilds programmes and is an advocate for ensuring personal protective equipment and clothing is suitable for everyone.
