HSE – Challenges of reducing work-related illness

02 May 2024
Keynote Theatre
Keynote Theatre

HSE was set up nearly 50 years ago by the Health and Safety at Work Act to ensure that we return home safe and well at the end of the working day. Key to this success and the reduction in death and injury across Great Britain, has been the approach to managing workplace risk. However, the same can’t be said for work-related ill health. This session explores the challenges around workplace ill health and how these can be overcome to make parity of esteem a reality for everyone.

Sarah will be providing an overview of HSE’s approach to reducing work-related illness and outlining what organisations can do to promote good mental health in the workplace.
